    Default [Release] Instanople mini-mod for SS6.3

    Istanople
    Today known by the successors of the Turks as Istanbul, but before known as Constantinople.
    Beta. By Historydude.

    This is a beta because I have tested it out without any problems, but as always there could be some I missed (Which really shouldn't be any being how simple this mod is.)

    This mini-mod will change the name of Constantinople when the Turks capture it, and backwards if Byzantium owns it.

    Installation: Run the installer and then run SS Setup.exe and Select Istanople. Should be compatible with other mods. Will only add a small amount of code, so turn time should NOT increase.

    Have fun!

    If you install the I"n"stanople one, just delete it in /sub, and then install this one

    BTW, you're doing it wrong.
    The expanded files should be in one (or two) folders in the sub-mod folder, and told by the .txt file to be copied when toggled.
    I'll fix it for my Compilation

    Permissions are better asked in PM because of the answer.
    the answer is no because i dont want to spread a vaccine until I release the virus is not dangerous (in normal words, if it has bugs, i dont want everyone to start experiencing them.

    also no it isnt wrong. im doing it this way so it is compatible with bgr. although as im thinking about it,bgr might replace it anyway, so it wouldnt make a difference. not sure, which is why this is a beta.

    Huh? BGR doesn't even touch expanded.txt, so it should be 100% compatible.
    But sure, I can wait till tomorrow so you're sure there's no bugs.
    Edit: I've got edited versions locally, now. Won't upload anything without you okaying it though, ofc.

    Does this take into account traits that require the settlement name to be Constantinople for them to be triggered?

    Indeed, because this only changes the settlement's display name, not it's reference name Constantinople. The only thing Istanbul about it is what the player sees. my turkish general who conquered it was still the conquerer of Constantinople.

    I actually wanted to make a trait for a non-islam faction conquering istanbul but it didn't work out so well

    WTF are you talking about?
    This script changes the name to "Istanbul" when Constantinople gets captured by the Turks...
    Edit: I guess you're referring to Historydude managing to write the name wrong several times in a row. Don't worry, it's correct in the code "change_settlement_name Constantinople Istanbul"

    Tbh I thought it was spelled Instanbul, not Istanbul, and I just happened to catch myself (somehow) while coding and put it in right Oh well. I'll update the zip and other things anyhow, my bad sir!

    The files still refer to it as Instanople...

    I checked all the files and I only found one instanople and it was a counter, and that doesn't make a difference, i could name it lolololh4x0rpwns if i wanted to and it would still function (As long as every reference was the same)

    Ill fix those when I have the time and patience. They don't hurt the game at all, and that will force anyone who installed the first one to change to the second.

    Hey this one sounds cool, I'd like to install this mini mod, as a citizen of Istanbul seing it name changes once captured sounds kinda nice. Though is this compatible with 6.2 as I still stick to that version ?
