Hi Guys need advice

Just got a second hand Vista with inbuilt 1.7GB graphics 4GB Ram and 230 GB HDD Compact Presario CQ60-249US Notebok... going to install M2TW and SS all Mods...
In case i need to know something before i install like about UAC and other stuff ( since this Laptop is using inbuilt Graphics please let me know before hand so it saves mt trouble to install...

Nothing personally, but i wouldn't play it on labtops. I did it (3 years ago) and the notebook overheated to much and was getting too much defects ( to much sound of ventilators...)...but maybe it was just me.
I also use vista...turn UAC off and everything runs fine, in my case though. It's a great mod you will enjoy it...still some bugs but they're working on it.

Well the only problem i can think of you can have is the fact that you have an inbuilt GPU. Have you checked whether or not it could possibly run M2TW?

Vista is no problem, might have to run as administrator.

If you want to turn off UAC just click start, click on your profile icon then click "Turn User Account Control on or off" and I'm sure you can handle it from there.

I have Vista andI just leave mine off all the time.

EDIT:May I ask what kind of graphics card you have? If it's any better than mine (And mine's near worthless for gaming) you should be fine because I can play Medieval II at the lowest settings just fine. Luckily I'm getting a new laptop soon.

yeah I run the game on a laptop as well with pretty below decent graphics, but on lowest i run it smooth as a whistle (as long as their are not more then 4000 men in a battle, then i crawl to a snail.)

I don't know if this will be a good help but:
If you haven't installed M2TW yet then you can use this

scroll down to Medieval 2, click "can you run it" button and it will tell you if you laptop can run it at minimum and recommended settings.

Also, don't forget you don't need to install ALL four Kingdoms campaigns. One will suffice. Might save you some memory space if you won't be playing vanilla kingdoms.

Actually, if you have Kingdoms on it's own DVD/CD (IE. not gold edition) I think you can install NO campaigns and still get 6.3 to work properly
Oh and, memory =/= hard drive space.
