Its a nice start, but i think Zeeland needs more land. Maybe this map is a good reference for you.



light yellow = Dunes
dark yellow = Tidal areas
brown = Peat bog / swamp
grey = Big river valley
orange = River dunes

Nope the northern islands are just islands....
although the small island in the lake could be connected with the land.

About the map: some more detail to the Waddenzee and Zuiderzee, Zeeland's okay.

Zeeland at this time didnt consist off seperate islands, but was a large peatland.

Here's another map on which you can see Zeeland as larger areas instead of the islands. Imo Zeeland as shown in the Irishguy's curent map, resembles more the area in the early middle ages, when the sea flooded the peatland.



But if the map is already almost done, dont bother

I could do some inmprovements... but the hard things is to make it not just an endless plain with weird coasts... ofcourse I haven't done the ground types yet but still it becomes awfully flat and plain... so I will take a look but I don't think there wil be any Big changes other than maybe (and i say maybe) zeeland (and the flevo lacus that thing of mine is just bad )

Well that is Holland.
Maybe the first map I posted can help you out determining what ground types to use, especially the (river)dunes and hills will be a nice variation to the endless flatness.

Adding dolmens (hunebedden) may be a good way to spice things up on the battlefield in the northern part of the map. Only I have no idea whether this is quite easy or very hard to do.

As landmarks it should be pretty easy, but I don't think it's possible for on the battle map, or to restrict them to Drenthe and above.
