    Default Feels Dishonored

Ok, I know I already brought this up in a different thread, but I really don't get it. Not only does every single family member I have always wind up with the feels dishonored trait, but they get it before they're done with school! I can't move them out of the settlement, because they need to stay and train. But by the time they turn 16, their loyalty is zippo. Really can't figure it out.

How much authority has your king? Sounds to me like he hardly has any.

It's happened with my last two Kings, both of whom had medium authority. I think my last King had 6 flags and the current one has 5. Of course, for some weird reason the current one seems to be unable to get the Crown of England (sat him in London for 6-7 turns and nothing happened; maybe because he already was Lord of Ireland?) but he doesn't have offends influentials, and the last King did have the Crown.

Sounds like you've hit the max of 8 ancillaries.

Give one to someone else, and your king will most likely get the crown by spending a turn in London.

Hey! I already had the problem. If you collect the crown duty, the "Feels Disliked" appears after 1 turn, "Disrespected" after 5 turns & Dishonored" after 13 turns... with a 100% probability ! So make sure you don't use it too much.

Gah! That's it. I hadn't realized I was leaving it on. Thanks so much!

Had to abandon my previous campaign with Teutons due of the rebelious behavior of my king. He was on crusade to Narbonne when suddenly he rebelled, my crusade army deserted unit by unit and two turns later my king was dead (son of a ....). So his son became king (he had 0 authority) and next turn the offends the nobility trait.
So now i check my king and heirs every single turn because they can really mess with your empire and future plans

i have a similar problem playing as france. in my campaign all genrals have full loyalty or maybe a couple missing and my king has full authority. i check a couple turns later and a rebellion has begun. about ten genrals join it and my king has lost all authority! he went from being hitler to a manager at mcdonalds.

I am a newbie but I had this issue with a 7 authority King. Crowned too. Maybe somebody should give instructions?

Turn off your crown duty. You can do that by clicking on the treasury icon and it will bring up some popups telling you your running costs. When the crown duty popup appears, click NO and you will stop collecting the crown duty. Leaving it on will make all of your generals feel disrespected, causing huge drops in loyalty.

If the king is dreadful and your others generals are more chilvarous they may get the feel dishonored trait. At least that happened to me some times.

Wow. Thats real depth. Real nice feature you spotted there. But some complex gameplay elements should be expained with more detail. I was hoping somebody make a more comprehensive strategy guide for this mod.

Ah, yeah, I forgot about the chivalry/dread aspect. I tend to make most of my generals governors (as I tend to play a more peaceful builder style of game rather than a warmongering style), so everyone is usually chivlarous and there's no personality conflict.

But if you go for political victory, there would be greater room for assasination and sabotage. That would make a dreadful king. I always make my king and heir dreadful for this reason. It also helps better than chiv. at a battle which would be important enought to risk them in.

I used to always make my kings generals for the extra authority, until I read the Advice Guide. In there, it is suggested to make all of your kings governors for better economic stats and fewer penalties to civil order by having a chivalrous leader in your capital.

I do not generally use assasination or sabotage. I build spies and assassins, but leave them in my own cities or have them patrol my own borders. I do not usually send them into enemy territory because I don't attack anyone unless they attack me first, and even then I typically fight defensive wars until the enemy gets tired of attacking and sues for peace. I might invade their territory, but I sack their cities, sell all the buildings, and then retreat and let the city go rebel. I never hold enemy territory.
