Trading by sea
ok, so I'm having a problem. I notice that my ports are not trading with each other. They are only trading with the factions I have trade rights with! But when I look at other faction's ports, I notice that they are trading with each other! What is going on? I want trade by sea!

Re: Trading by sea
I have very good markets, very good ports, but cities like Rome, Genova, Bruges, and Marseille, no city got overseas trade. I tried to see if any other medieval ii mod had that, so I tried SS, and they have it immidiately

Re: Trading by sea
Are you playing BB? If so then perhaps negative events at your harbours have caused trade to cease. Higher level ports can maintain a lower level of trade, but trade ceases completely when it happens to the lowest tier ports.
So with BB you can measure the harbour event status by how many trade fleets you have at ports.
