Default Berber remake minimod released - new skins and models

This is an unofficial minimod that will add new models and skins to the Berber faction and change some of the Berber units' names, thus representing the Berber tribes in the 4th century in a historically accurate fashion.

The mod does not alter any other aspect of the mod and it's completely save-game compatible.

Nice job, but I wonder about the Mauri Chieftain. I would have expected him to be more heavily armed with helmet, spear etc?

Truth be told, I couldn't find any info about the helmets use by the non-roman berbers in the 4th century.

if you must have helmets (its not necessary), just take what was used by neighboring powers. people did borrow from each other afterall (Arabs borrowed helmets from Persian and Roman sources; the longsword is a Persian import, while the baldric is influenced by roman design; the only things native were the short-swords(?), and cow-bone spear-tips )*.

having recently read a bit on the matter, the only thing Arabs said then was that: 1-Berbers are brave SOB's, and 2-the mauritanians have some long some swords. there is also mention of retreating into the desert to certain fortresses. otherwise, you're on your own-you evidently have the first two points covered well in IJ.

so in this case, use roman helmets. it wouldn't be totally inaccurate.

*it helps that there are written records.
