Re: Belgariad Mod?
Haven't heard of one being made. I agree though it could be an interesting setting for a mod.

I've been sort of dabbling at one but I'me not very good. Would probably turn out better if someone else did it.

Re: Belgariad Mod?
I've got the first one in the series, it's an alright book, and I might get the rest.
A couple of things with learning how to mod - get yourself Bare Geomod. That contains everything needed to get yourself a mod on the go.
You'll need yourself a good graphics editing program - I recommend Gimp, but other than that, you can start editing the files in accordance with the tutorials and research found in the mod help forums.
There is no point at all in asking if people want to make a mod, which you'll support, but have no skills in. People don't have the time to throw into a mod to just create a couple hundred or so unit models, 2D artwork, mapwork, balance, bug fixing, and coding just on the whim of some person dropping by.
If you want to see a mod developed, the only way is to get started with either helping an existing team with the project if it's started, OR get started with it yourself.

Re: Belgariad Mod?
@Vaz. The first book is by far the hardest to get into. once you get into the third and fourth books(well actually from 2 on is good) it kind of traps you. I'de say reading them at least 15 times means they have my attention.
I started making a map for the belgariad but I got sidetracked and sort of gave up.
