Hellenistic. because i'm a pro in greek warfare.
but i also like the Romans (there formations and tactics)
Vote: Hellenistic
Hellenistic for sure.
Does this answer your question?![]()
The survey doesn't make too good sense because, except for Roman, the categories are not clearcut. For instance Barbarian as in Iberian or Scythian are worlds apart. Eastern as in Pontian or Parthian also so. Carthaginian depends on what region you are playing because you rely on mercs. Hellenistic gives a wide choice of units so the style depends on what the individual player recruits (except if you have the ptolemies - they just suck).

Hellenistic. I love phalanx warfare.
And in second place, comes Barbarian, specificly, the Iberians.
Eastern warfare, Pontus to be exact, is nice aswell. Just fill your army with heavy cavalry and you'll slaughter any infantry. The downside is (atleast for me), the Pontus campaign is a bit hard.
I guess I should have tried to be more detailed but I was just going for the generalization of each type. Barbarians are usually unorganized or less so than greeks or romans and the whole eastern way pretty much involves archers, heavy cav, missile cav and poor infantry. The hellenistic way is pretty identical all around except for a few special units like elephants and chariots.![]()

Yes,
Iberians are also nice to learn about !
Barbarian/eastern. I love pretending to reform a barbarian people into a leader of world culture above the romans and greeks. Thracians, Spanish, Germans and Sabaens are some of my favorites. Occasionally Scythians or Parthians if I feel like playing a HA heavy game. Never the gauls, screw them.
Occasionally I play some hellenistic factions, but phalanxes get boring to me.
I love roman warfare, but I don't like playing as the romans. I wish I could play a faction that was roman style but not part of rome at all.
That being said, I love slaughtering romans too.
I hate carthaginians in every way. I have the "despises carthaginians" trait.
Insatiable as the flame, I burn, and consume myself.
Fix the problem, not the blame!

I like Carthaginian but i think is no much for others. Maybe off topic but thats what i think
Carthaginian:
For the great diverse tactics you can deploy with them.
Wow hellenistic is dominating. I thought roman style would at least keep up.![]()

lol i played 3 battles with Prince of Macedon online as Seleucid. 1 win and 2 loses. Previously I thought that would be wise 2 beat him with phalanx but it turned out 2 be a catastrophe and the only win was only achieved with scythian horse-archer
Roman.
