Gotta love Peta since there is no depth to which they will not sink. I love the puppy and kitten comment hinting your dad might feel the need to kill them in his animal like rage and desire to harm animals. It would be funny if it wasnt so sad and so hateful and disgusting display to play mind games with children. Dunno why they cant grasp that the idea of protecting animals is a noble idea that stands by itself as an issue to resort to this crap to try and scare small kids into becoming vegans does nothing to help protect animals.

This is the most pure load of bull i've seen in a while. Now PETA tries to appeal to kids. "Daddy fishing hurts". One:The dad will talk the kid out of the idea of 'fishing' hurts. Two: What kid, no, person, would waste time on something like that?

What is funny is the PETA spokeswoman defending it said it was created with the input of children and teens because 'that is what they like' er yeah ok I think we might have more pressing issues if this idea came from kids

That is depressing.

They use faint, shadowy facts to make it look so horrible - like they mention that "fish can even use tools!" Yes, dolphins, the smartest sea animals, who just push along a thingy with their nose. Does daddy catch dolphins? No.

I hate the PETA with a vengeance. Almost as much as I hate telemarketers, New Jersey governors and used car salesmen.

You know what, Pro-hunting and Fishing groups should get together and put out "Your daddy kills animals" ads showing deer starving to death because of a lack of food and no natural predator.

It makes sense now. When you ask a kid what do you think would stop dad from killing animals they would say something like "he might stop if it scares me". I think PETA has a screw lose if they actually thought it would work.

Did anyone read that article (I forget where - maybe Sports Illustrated but it seems unlikely) about PETA a while back when they luanched a campaign against fishing? One of their billboards had a picture of a beautiful old golden retreiver with a fish hook in it's bloody mouth. The caption read, "Why do we throw frisbees to some animals and fish hooks to others?"

The writer said, "That's easy. It's cause fish really suck at catching frisbees."

I thought that was pretty funny at the time

I believe animals should be killed in humanely way possible (e.g. using slug bullets for hunting deer or wild boars) but there's nothing wrong with hunting as long as we prevent species from being extinct...

yah I agree, but that guy is funny, unless he really believes what he is saying. We should treat them humanely, ut they don't have right like us. If they wanted rights, they shoudl ask.

But animals are crucial to survival, and I think anyone who thinks eating meat is wrong, they either live in America, or have too much time on their hands.

This is too far. Fish are stupid anyway. The evidence for fish feeling pain is not conclusive, afaik. To target children like this is immoral.

Nice propaganda from PETA

I like fishing...but just because PETA had to publicize their stupid propaganda I will now begin to torture every fish I catch, they will face a slow and painful death because of PETA!
