where are the heretics and the witches??

where did the witches go? ahh I can't believe you guys removed the witches from the game, they were so awesome, I loved hunting them down.

And it also seems 2 me that much less heretics are spawning than in vanilla (even if the world is much larger than the vanilla 1).

Are you nuts? They are not removed. They even have specific traits for generals that encounter witches. You are just unlucky (or lucky in this case). I see heretics and witches all the time...

You sure? I play SS 6.1 and have seen only 1 heretic (in France).

PS. As Scotland, the skins of my Border Horse are messed up. Is there a fix for this?

For 6.1 I would have no idea seeing as I play 6.3

They are not removed if you have seen one . You may want to play 6.3 vastly imrpoves the experience...

In the lower version numbers I rarely saw witches. Actually I think I never saw one. Heretics are pretty common especially if you spammed priests etc.

Perhaps its because they're grey, I miss rebel armies all the time because they just blend into the background, I f I didn't watch the enemies moves i would never know they were there.

France seems to spam witches for me, but then that would reflect my experience of the french ladies IRL.

Well in 61 you could often encounter "heretic colonies" where the AI failed to denounce a heretic, and half his priests went heretic in the process. In 6.3 AI won't be so dumb to loose half of their priests to a heretic, but heretic spawns are still there. (actually, 50% of ai priests are just immune to the effects of heresy.)

I am intrigued by the special trait for generals, i assume it's a piety hit? Do they get it when 'bumping into' a with or what?
Actually is there a comprehensive list of traits?

Playing as Byzantine I sent 5 priest to Turkish land and then one of them become heretic. However i like to see witches more since they're rare (more witches mean more work for my assassin army)

Ye I am on 6.3 I played a byzantine early campaign and didn't see one heretic and now I am on an england early campaign 40 turns through and have come across 1 heretic, I am sure as England I would have encountered more by now in france on vanilla but hadn't really thought about it until I saw this thread lol.
