What version should I play?

Hi,

I want to play as Ireland, so I can't play the newest one. My friend and I want to do a hotseat campaign, with me as Ireland and him as England. Which version can we play that 1.has Ireland and 2.Lets you play Ireland in hotseat?

You might need to mod Ireland into being able to be hotseat compatible no matter what... although I know this is relatively easy, you should try it

I've never done it myself but you could ask someone around here kindly and maybe they'll help out!

Oh yeah, go with 6.2 then.

I believe that hotseat will let you play any nation you can in the standard campaign. So just going with the last version that was them would be best (6.2 i think?)

I used to have an older version (can't remember which) and it only let you play early campaign in hotseat, which Ireland wasn't available in.

So am I going with 6.2? And are you sure you can hotseat with Ireland in 6.2?

Well according to historydude you WILL have to mod it in, so you should do a forum search or talk to someone that actually knows how to do that.

First off, i'm guessing you meant 6.1?

That should work i think. I have NO idea how this could crash the guys game, so just try this first.

Since these where posted a while back, i'm guessing this is for 6.2. Should be no reason it doesn't work for 6.3 though.

So yeah. You need to mod Ireland into hotseat. They are available in Early campaign 6.2 however.

No. I really don't understand the problem here, editing a text file or entering a console command barely qualifies as modding anyway.
Just make sure you back up the file and nothing can go wrong, give it a try.

Yeah sorry I did lol. So I'm getting 6.2 then modding Ireland in correct? Unless anyone knows a fix for the grand campaig mod (Crashes at splash screen)

Also, anyone know where I can find a tut to add Ireland to hotseat?
