Why do 4/5 of my generals have the same title all of a sudden? Everyone is suddenly called ____ the Lover except Duke Edward and William Wallace...even the king is King Henry the Lover...wth?

Apparently they are all sexual predators...wtf? 4 out of 5 English generals are sexual predators before earning any other titles? LOL It wasn't like that before did this have something to do with your file?
Are they stationed in cities with brothels (or higher levels)?
That increases the chance of getting the Girls trait, which "Sexual Predator" is the 4. or 5. stage of IIRC.
Since trait-gain was increased due to shorter life-spans, the chance of getting the Girls trait when stationed somewhere with a brothel/higher is pretty high.
My file wouldn't change traits, just unit skins. You could always use the cheat in the command console
remove_trait this Girls
make sure that person is outside a city or building and make sure he is highlighted. If he is inside a building instead of using this you have to put the players name.
I don't think I even built any brothels, they are never high on my priority list and my original king is still alive...I usually only make them when I have PO problems...I might just cheat because literally 100% of my generals have the Lover title other than Duke Edward and WW...so I guess 95% have it, or 90% however it breaks down.
Thanks, the trait sexual predator trait is gone, but the title remains, will it go away next turn I'm guessing or is that not the right trait?
It'll go away if it gets replaced with another title.
Cheat to get a title you want, then cheat to remove the trait![]()
So what is a code for a new title? I remember looking up codes once and seeing a way to give new traits but not seeing a list of actual titles.
Ahh my little padawan
Okay so for all the traits are located in this file
export_descr_character_traits.txt (its in the data section)
Open it up and I'll use the Girls for example:
If you find the Girls trait you will see there are different levels, 5 of them
Level one would be Red_Blooded, two Womaniser, and so forth till you reach level 5 which is Sexual_Predator. Now when you look at a characters trait in the game it won't come up as Girls" It will come up as either of those five levels names. To remove/add it using the cheat you have to use the trait name in the file i.e. Girls just like this
remove_trait this Girls <------------Note Caps do matter!!
now if I wanted a 2nd level Girl trait (Womaniser) my cheat code would look like this
add_trait this Girls 2 <-------- the number you add is the level you want of that trait.
Ancillaries are the same way and can be found in this file export_descr_ancillaries.txt
The same process is used as the traits, there are no levels in ancillaries.
add_ancillary this bard
remove_ancillary this bard

I was referring to this, the export_descr_character_traits.txt file should give a full list of the traits and the titles some of them give(i think they're called "epithets" in the file, not sure though), so you wouldn't have to just use the 5 i posted. Regardless, i hope this doesn't happen to you again, such a thing would annoy me to no end as well.![]()
give_trait this GoodCommander 5 = "the Great"
give_trait this PublicFaith 4 = "the Pious"
give_trait this GoodAttacker 5 = "the Attacker"
give_trait this GoodDefender 5 = "the Bastion"
give_trait this GoodAmbusher 5 = "the Cunning"
These are some. The traits system seems to have been changed though, so these might not entirely work and/or will give a different title than the ones mentioned above. Hopefully it will help you out.
Edit: Better to use strife1013's suggestion, it'd probably work better.![]()

Thanks, but why would his suggestion work better? He said removing the trait won't replace the old title until a new title takes it place...this will give me the new titles to replace them...I don't care if they're not earned, I'll do what is appropriate based on what has transpied, but 6 Lovers is lame, I can't take it.
You know Richard Lionheart was said to be homosexual... Maybe the Lover trait is historical?
Oh, for Heaven's sake, now you're being deliberately stupid.
