The fact that that French Fortress has so many Rebels... I've considered making settlements go Rebel to give me a buffer region between my enemies! (or my alies in some cases!)
No more rebel cities rush...looks like they really want us to do things the hard way![]()
Interesting, the rebels in my campaign have a fort in the same position.
Same as first post above but in a nice spoiler. Apologies to everyone still on a 56k modem.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Byzantines in Sicily isn't so weird, I spread that way every time I play them. Of course, the AI doing it is a bit weird, I suppose. I want to eventually take Rome and see what that does to the other Catholic factions. Rebuilding the Roman Empire FTW! It's just hard if you have to watch your eastern and northern flanks, too, but so far I'm "friendly" with the Turks and "not-stab-you-in-the-face-at-first-sight" with Hungary & Venice.
I've also seen more rebels, which are always a nice source of unit experience.
