Is there anyway to delete units from the mod or to restrict the use of gunpowder units?

I would remove the gunpower event or set it to fire at a ridiculous high number as say... 2010. Seems the easiest way.
Delete units file in unit_descr if you hate them (make sure you have backup file).If you want to reduce their effective just reduce their number to...16.This will make these men become Light skirmishers

Looks pretty much possible to me from the instructions.
Well from what I remember there's no way to get rid of gunners because they activate once plate armour does or something like that. And to get rid of them would cost alot of non gunpowder units. So in my eyes it's impossible. You could probly just go into the files and delete each unit but I'd rather not try.
My apologies but I simply have a problem with that. I understand if you don't want to attempt it but saying is impossible is just unnecessarily discouraging. Thats whats posted in your topic:
The solution is the change the condition for them from plate_armor to gun_powder.
Thats notepad 1) open export_descr_building.txt 2) find "handgunner" 3) look a line beneath, replace eventname with gunpowder 4) repeat.
Oh. Forgot about step 0): Make a backup of the file(s) before you accidently screw something up.
...but you can't make them use the search function.
Really, typing's hard enough for them, what with the hooves and everything. You should be happy that they can even use computers.
