hello can you help me please minor problem

hello everyone i installed rome total war today but every time i try to enter any battle it crashes to desktop i am able to play the campain but unable to acutally fight the battles , no error is given the game just quits on me any ideas would be greatly appreshiated many thanks .

Reinstall the game. Thats about all you can do. If that does not work, edit the desktop target shortcut and add the command -show_error . This will give a more specific error code and we might be able to help you.

reinstall has changed nothink at all. seen as its the first time i installed it should be fine anyway.... and this -show_error does not show me the problem.
