    Default I think its time for the ultimate SS version as[MTR]

    Some years ago there was a mod named MTR (Medieval Total Realism) that aimed to be the 1st total conversion of the vanilla M2TW game.
    It was an early and ambitius attempt when no tools or expirient modders were still available like to day.
    Stainless Steel has proven its self the longest and most complete mod over the vanilla game.
    I think that SS must become the basis of the new attempt of MTR ,adding all its submods as possible and material (animations,models,script) that would fit in such an attempt.
    MTR must be the ultimate offer of the TWC to its members when it comes to M2TW/Kingdoms game.
    TGC in order to continue its development seak one or more desicated scripters to put our campaign scripts mess to an order plus to create new events and create the finall missing factions recruitment system. In return TGC will give permision to those that will help to use its material stepe by step. The result will be a fully released TGC plus many mods that will benefit TGC's material.
    Despite the mod is dead does not mean that anyone can use its material
    read this to avoid misunderstandings.

    IWTE tool master and world txt one like this, needed inorder to release TGC 1.0 official to help TWC to survive.
    Adding MARKA HORSES in your mod and create new varietions of them. Tutorial RESTORED.

    I recall my memories upon Rome Total Realism that was also an excellent mod... If the same team tried to do a realistic M2TW, they would do a nice job I'm sure of it

    It would be about time to have such a mod. SS would be a good base since you wouldn’t have to start from scratch. Personally I would love to see all factions having their units done in historical manner, historical settlements and characters and as few sacrifices of historical accuracy in the name of game-play as possible.
    While I’m putting my faith and modest contribution in DOTS, I would love to see such a sub mod for SS.
    Still, I assume that it would take a lot of time and effort as well as a large and dedicated team.

    What about DotS?

    Sorry, but good as SS is, the amount of research that has already been invested into DotS I think far outstrips SS. Having said that, SS is my new "vanilla", compared to the Historical mods and Fantasy mods that are present. THere's history present, but neither is it so focused that gameplay suffers.

    Well we are all awaiting Dots for this but maybe SS 6.3 is a good base. I don't know how much work you need because you must rework a lot of factions especially muslim ones and some others.

    Re-working the Muslim factions somewhat, and if I may say so using RC/RR + BGRIV, will get you a long way. Other factions could of course do with some more realistic units but we also need to consider the large number of factions have used up all unit slots. And many other excellent mods, eg BfTB, CBUR, 1100, aspects of Rusichi etc have already been worked in. It would be good to add in Magyar Mod, some of BC...

    Historical characters? 1100 and AFR add them already.

    Scripting has been taken about as far as it can go. RC/RR + BGRIV Early Era campaign script has almost 167,000 lines. It would be nice to simulate different governing systems further, but I would suggest BGR adds a great amount of depth to this area already.

    In think that people underestimate the huge amount of content in SS.

    I agree but with SS 6.3 at this point the main problem is the fact that some aspects of the game are very well done and others lacks any kind of work because the new update is basically a compilation of submods without a unified project of global improvement.

    For example muslim factions has again the same vanilla units and Russians has got the godly Rusichi's units. I mean that SS 6.3 isn't yet again a real total conversion of MIITW because some aspects (mainly the units of some factions) are still vanilla. Don't get me wrong, SS at this point is the best mod but yet there is something that needs improvements and the work of the submodders is amazing but needs somewhat coordination mainly in the compatibility issues.

    You PB, gracul and others that worked for 6.3 are the only ones that worked in this direction merging many submods together but the other submodders lacked in this field.

    Ok, my bad for characters.
    Sack all unhistorical units to free slots and rework all others except CBUR, Rusichi and some others. Easier said than done I guess…But seriously many units are still just little bit changed vanilla. If all units were up to CBUR; Rusichi or Magyar mod standard that would be really something!
    Oh well, Just wet dreams.
    Not all use BYG so there is room for alternative.

    SS is my newest vanilla.

    I am anticipating DotS and RS II very much though.

    I agree, Muslim factions could do with some work, they have some new units but are mostly vanilla. BC units could be worked in.

    And yes I'm looking forward to DoTS too
