hi all ive been playing etw for a while now and ive always had massive problems with lag, i did the obviuos things like lowering detail and unit sizes etc. are there any other ways i could reduce lag ??(aside from getting a new pc) please help this is ruining my etw experience. it takes the AI about 1-2minutes to finish all the other faction's turns and i can barely move the camera on the battle map 'cos it juts around all over the place once again any ideas? please help

For the lag, try releasing more RAM (if you have maxed it out on the PC already) by shutting down all unnecessary programs working in the background. There's a program that could do this for you: Game Booster. Google for it to find out if it can help a bit. Then of course it all depends on your PC capacity in the first place. Windows XP needs about half as much memory as Vista to run games properly, because the latter OS demands so much more, and leaves less over to games. However, turn times are not so much affected by available RAM as processor speed, I think. So long turn times might be an indication that you need to upgrade your hardware.
