    That would have o be done by regenerating the vegetation with a different layout file for the climate.

    As forest_layout.tga or palm_layout.tga? I thought that it depends on the numerical values somewhere in the text. And this is determined by the graphic things ... I would know ... Thanks, DvK!

    Why do you want to do this?

    BTW, if you select the lowres vegetation selection in the launcher it will use a set of forest vegetation where the trees are set further apart in order to lower processor requirements without reducing tree detail.

    It`s need for my for my submod for EB. I hate dark forests in EB .

    In RSII forests are very good for battle, very good!

    I tried to escape from the unbearable heat (43-45 C) on the Volga with a laptop, I've no RS2 and only the EB, so I repaired it on the sly....

    OK, quite easy to do this then....

    1) go into descr_vegetation.txt

    2) For the types of forest you want to change look for their entries - e.g.

    vegetation rs_swamp_forest
    {
    layout 256 rs_forest_layout.tga
    radius 1
    height_range 0.6 1.2
    aspect_range 0.7 1.3
    lod trees
    model highland_pine1
    model fir01
    model medi_rock_04
    }
    Increase the number in red by maybe 25-50%. Save the file.

    3) Delete descr_vegetation.db

    4) Set preferences to battlefields: 1024x768 16bit and antialiasing OFF

    5) Restart EB

    6) Change your video settings back to higher ones (if relevant)
