This is an Elven survival thread! The rules are simple:

You have up to one full stack of elven units.

You get unlimited money to outfit your army with whatever elves you see fit.
(Means no ents, you dirty cheaters, you.)

No purchased veterancy.

Very Hard difficulty (honors system, guys!)
That goes for modding units' stats as well

Try to survive against 20,000 goblins! I made my enemy armies out of the base goblin infantry for both Gundabad and MM, and as you can see here, it didn't turn out so great.

If you were on a hill, and maybe used some mithlond infantry and generals bodyguard, then you would stand a better chance

LOL, funny thread. I would have put elven smiths and eldar lancers in my army i think and a good proportion of archers. But the result can be the same because 2000 against 20000... wow.

EDIT: the guy above seems to demonstrate that some eldar lancers are required.
PS: maybe if someone can test with elven smiths instead of mithlond warriors ?

my first game i tried a unit of them, with no catapult or cav, just archers &mithlond warriors, smiths they didnt seem as good, routed pretty quickly compared to mith warrior, i think there more of a support unit if fightin trolls. First time tryin elves too, the result you see is from my second game as them

I hope my high elves (currently playing them - this is my 2nd campaign since 2.0 is out) will behave such bravely as those ones. I was surprised by the few number of archers and cavalry. Right now i tend to get 15 units or archers and 5 of general/cavalry and this works very well until now (turn 53). But i will progressively add eldar spearmen (or Eregion smiths or mithlond warriors when i get them) if i have to fight more heavy units. BTW a managed to kill 2 cave trolls with a unit of elven archers in a melee (helped at the last moment by a small force of eldar lancers) with only 12 casualties (7 being healed at the end of the fight). Those elves are full of resources I thought when the trolls first charged my archers, "aye they will die soooo quickly" but in fact i was wrong.

Battle of the Dead Tree, unfortunately I might not have used 20,000 orcs but I was almost there, I gave the enemy a lot of elite troops. Btw sorry for the double post (kind of).

I attempted doing a battle vs 40,000 orcs.The lag wasn't too bad,but my display driver couldn't handle it.Eventually all of the graphics got jagged and the game crashed.

hope you dont mind, but i thought ill try a dunedain army, ended up losin, should have taken another catapult, but saw it out to the end, i think the battle last 2 hours lol
