Photograph: Mario Anzuoni/Reuters Most famous faces never get to see their own movie biopics – there's an unwritten rule that you usually have to be dead before being immortalised on the big screen. Not so teen megastar Justin Bieber, whose life story is set to be filmed before he has even reached his 17th birthday. Who will play him? Well, who better than Bieber himself?
According to the Deadline blog, the as yet untitled film will be directed in 3D by Davis Guggenheim, the Oscar-winning director of Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth. Bieber himself confirmed the news via his Twitter account yesterday. The film is due out on Valentine's day 2011 and will feature performances from the Canadian singer's current tour.
Despite his youth, Bieber is spectacularly big news, having recently become the first artist to see seven songs from a debut album chart on the US Billboard Hot 100. He appears to have little in the way of acting experience, but will make his debut in September with a guest role in the hit US TV crime series CSI. Bieber will play a troubled teen who is faced with a difficult decision regarding his only brother in the show's season premiere.
If the Bieber movie seems a little premature for a singer who has only been in the limelight for little more than a year, another project will put things in perspective. The singer is also planning to publish a memoir, titled Justin Bieber: First Step 2 Forever – My Story, which will chronicle his rise to super-stardom.

I didn't know who he was until I was watching TV one day and there was a clip of one of his music videos. I almost committed suicide right there, it was so terrible. Then I realized I knew women, grown women, who liked him. It boggles my mind how anyone, let alone grown women, could like him.

I still can't wait for the day that his voice cracks in the middle of a gig, causing him to lose his kid voice and prompt a meteor to land on him.

Anybody even what portal in hell that allowed this hellspawn to roam the human world?

I can autotune my voice to sound like beiber.

To be honest, I feel sorry for the kid. As soon as they are finished using him, they'll dump him in the garbage.

Why is this being filmed in 3-D? Oh right, to get more money...I can't really hate the kid though, I'm pretty sure if I were him I'd go along with it and gladly pocket the money so I'd be set for the future, laughing all the way to the bank. It's like he won the lottery of life. The real evil here is the people that find and market these teenagers instead of taking the effort to find and market actually talented people, knowing that their young audiences will go nuts anyways. I'll just laugh when he gets dropped for the next teenage fad and doesn't know basic life skills. He'll probably go broke sooner or later, considering how if he's dumb enough not to understand that German is a language, he probably won't be able to manage a large fortune he amassed before the age of 20.

They have to milk him for what he's worth before his voice breaks.
