A year takes now 2 turns and characthers also age at same rate in this mini-mod.
Features included right now (campaigns for EARLY ERA):
- Aging of characthers set to previous SS versions (0.5 years per turn)
- Turns set to 2 per year
- OPTIONAL: Custom diplomacy (Seljuk allied with Fatimids; Spain, Portugal Aragon at war with Moors, reflecting the Reconquista; Byzantine Empire at war with Seljuks; Denmark allied with Norway; HRE allied with Papal States; France allied with Scotland)
- OPTIONAL: Building cost and building time upgraded to 2 TPY (slight increases for low-tier buildings and bigger increases for up-tier buildings)
When I find out how to change education and etc, that will be also be included
Installation: Just put the files in your SS6.3 folder.
WARNING: If you run SS_Setup after installing this Mod, it will longer make no effect, so you'll have to re-install the mod again, since the setup overwrites files this mod includes.
Right now this mod is on 'hiatus', since I have uninstalled 6.3 until there is a fix to play without RR. Right now I'm back to 6.1. Read below
EDIT: If you want to make it yourselves it's quite simple. Just head onto Medieval 2 Total War folder, then mods/ss6.3/data/world/maps/campaign/imperial_campaign and change the following files:
First head onto campaign_script.txt, open it up with Notepad, search for AGEING SCRIPT and delete all the entries related to AGEING SCRIPT. Next, head to descr_strat and look for timescale. It should be 1.00 or so, so change it to 0.50 and voilá. You must do this after installing any mod that changes these two files, so I would advise that anytime you install a mod, check out the files again to see if they were replaced. Pretty simple, and you can play with any mod you like![]()
In this mod I've also slightly increased building times, but not doubled them. It's implemented in the file which say customdiplomacyandbuildings. If you want to use it just download that files and unzip it to a temporary folder. Then look for the file descr_strat_buildings.txt and put it in your ss6.3/data folder. remember to backup the original one.
IMPORTANT: Remember to back up the two files every time you change them in case of anything going wrong.
