Yesterday I downloaded Stainless Steel 6.3 for the first time. I am a huge fan of Medival Total War 2 but this mod was against all my expectations! After playing 5min I was suprised by so many things!
I really want to thank the designers of the mod for giving me a hell of a time!!! Thanks!!!

Just delete the folder. They don't create registry entries so you can just delete the folder.

played SS a while ago and now ive come back!
just installed M2TW and Kingdoms on steam and now im trying to get SS again.

however the torrent doesnt seem to work, i've downloaded the three .exe files and the second one just doesnt work either "this file contains invalid data" (without specifying exactly whats wrong, so goodjob on that one......) and now im trying to get the ones off megaupload whilst battling with their nasty speeds and the 400000 files i need to get.

Does anyone have a link to a decent torrent i can get so i dont have to trawl through 400 tonnes of time consuming blandness?

would really appreciate it.

It works. 8.2 TB generated traffic and 3500 downloads. There is a link to a utorrent guide at the torrent page, I recommend having a look because its most likely that your system isn't correctly configured.

Thats a windows error message indicating a faulty download. Thanks for the praise but this one goes to microsoft and the routing of your isp.

Try the torrent and 6 files or 400000 files... really, whats the point of that exaggeration? You're getting something for free here so you can't expect fullspeed mirrors for everyone in the world as well. Megaupload is reported as having good performance in the US, Europe and the Philipines... sorry that your not one of the lucky ones but there is still the torrent or filefront.

As I said your problem is most likely down to missconfiguration, see the torrent page for details. You can also try a different torrent client or the option to download the torrent throught bitlet.

Hmm interesting, NOW the torrent seems to work on the fifth attempt...after not changing a single setting..(already using utorrent)

I wasnt saying 'good job' to the SS chaps, ive nothing but immense respect for these guys. SS is awesome! I was merely confused as to why people would spend so long making a rocking mod only to have issues disseminating it. Surely having 3 torrents would just be the best bet as most people use them? I downloaded the 3x .exe files twice to try and eliminate the chance of it being a download issue but to no avail.

Hopefully the torrent will do its job and i'll be back cracking skulls in no time.

You have to explain that - 3 torrents would mean splitting up the seeders. The torrent is identical to the main megaupload mirror, the filefront is the alternatives for people that can't get the torrent or megaupload to work and is identical besides the files beeing split to the torrent and megaupload.

The second megaupload mirror (alternative installer) has yet to receive a torrent as its an alternative way of installation and personally I'd prefer to have one way (the first 3) over another one that just potentially confuses in troubleshooting.

I downloaded the 3x .exe files twice to try and eliminate the chance of it being a download issue but to no avail.

I'm guessing you are talking about the alternative installer. I'll keep an eye on that.

Thanks but as I said in my posts there is a full torrent link. Yours is on a nonenglish site that needs registration - ours isn't. Not to mention we have 80 seeders, 3 of those "dedicated" 24h 7days a week seeders so the torrent will most likely never die. Splitting up torrent ressources from the official one to another won't really improve the quality of the torrent...
