    Default RTR Platinum won't launch

I have a clean install of RTW up to 1.5 witht the CD in the drive and I just downloaded and installed RTR Platinum.

When I start it the parchment style map comes on the screen for a while but when it goes to play the animated movie it drops back to desk top with a second RTRP tab in the task bar and a box on the screen that says 'avtivemovie window' or something like that.
I had Klite mega codec pack so i uninstalled that and did a restart but still got the same problem. I re installed Platinum but it still does it. Any advice?

in your RTRPE shortcut add -nm in the end of the target line, after the quotations

I tried that. as you can see below that is what it now says but it still does the same thing.

    "F:\Games\Activision\Rome - Total War\RomeTW.exe" -show_err-nm

Klite codec pack leaves some codecs in the PC no matter if you uninstall it or no... but i have the codec pack and it doesn't affcts my RTR... it poped-up a screen when i started playing asking to use the klite codec or the standard movie codec, i chose standard and it never popped up again.

Do you installed it in the right folder? if so, try a reinstall

Thank's for taking the time to help me dude. Actually you first advice worked. at first I added the nm without erasing the show_err but this time i did it right and it worked.
    Thank's again.
