Ok, I just think some of the things in this game is a little odd to me... Here is a list, now I am willing to bet this might all be hardcoded
When a unit of more mass like cav hit infantry, they fly in the air.. Then some units who only get hit, will slowly fall to the ground as if they just got hit by a projectile... (probably no way around that).
When mumakils hit units, even if you increase the mass 1000 times, they odont make units go high in the air, no more than cav do... But in rome total war, I see this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vl1OC...eature=related
Ladders: Why do the units bunch up? They should be single file and orderly, is there a code that can make it realistic? Though I bet not, it just bothers me that the game has them do that, I dont need to explain why this is stupid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxUC36rbaYk, wait a minute, rome total war does this better also? Even the part where the chariots run over the romans, they flattened them, very few flung in the air, it looks like it should!
those warg animations, seriously, it looks right when they are walking, but it seems they lack a running animation... Again, in rome total war, the wargs have the right animation, where they almost look like they are jumping in the air really fast. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=asds8...eature=related
In rome total war, they done right, go to 2:00, and you will know what I mean. Also, why cant the wargs attack, like mumakils can attack (I know, mumakils are eles).
orc animations in general: Too human, can they be modify to differ that of the humans?
area effect: why cant berserkers kill multiple units? And again, why is their animation the same as regular swordsmen?
Testudo formation for Uruk-hai, I know for rome total war, that is definately possible, I can see why it would not be possible for medieval total war 2 though.. But the EDU says it has it... But, I put it in, and the game would not start.
Also, to me, the animations seem quite slow, in the video about wargs, I actually like the way the animations where, the orcs where agressive. Maybe it is not about being realistic, but it is not as entertaining. Plus, what I hate about playing medieval total war 2 online, is how slow the gameplay is.
I am not making demands, just wonder what is hardcoded, and what is not. And then compare that to Rome total war.
Actually, after writing all of this, why is it that rome total war seems to function in a lot of ways I like? Hmmm, though the one difference is a lack of fighting animations... And well graphics for that matter, but I would rather have better gameplay than have better graphics, and questionable physics.
I mean, it almost seems like the game engine is really limited, and actually flawed compared to Rome total war.
edit: I just tested ladders for medieval total war 2, they actually are realstic, the units dont somehow fuse into eachother. So, I hate to say it, but something is wrong with the coding in this mod.
