If you can figure this one out-

Ill be soooo happy. When I try to join a game online for rtw it will kill the persons game

I think it started from avg because it was calling it a key logger .. but I got rid of avg and reinstalled rome. It did not work so I ran it as admin and it only let me close the client out twice .. the third time it was back to killing games. I have one more thing to add ... when I ran rome after reinstalling it , it still had my saved name and cd-key from before but no saved game data .. when I tried for the last time to get into a game I did not run as admin and a offline game I had started was some how able to play from the auto save.

I realy hope I do not have to reinstall opperating system

forgot to say ... it does not even let me in the game before killing it .. game just dissapears

ty I am on vista , I reinstalled operating system and the problem kinda snuck its way back!! I was only able to play one game and join 4 but even while I was able to join games it was still not letting me join most of them and killing the game.Then it completely stoped letting me join games. Im not sure what to do .. maybe it has something to do with port ,, allthough that should have been reset when I started over.

Reinstalling an operating system is usually the last thing you need to do unless you've done something to the Windows Registry and emssed that upo big time.

With Vista and 7 there is something called 'Event Viewer' which allows you to look at what is happening on your PC - essentually it can log various errors that have happened on your system. I'd suggest having a look at that to see if you can see any obvious errors. You need to ignore a lot of errors and warnings especially if they don't happen around the time that your RTW MP games are closing down.

What are you using to play on-line? Is it GameSpy or something else?

Also what version of RTW are you playing?

Im running it trough gamespy and it is ver 1.5 ... when I got the game from game stop (gold version) the cd-key did not work so im stuck with a public key ... but ive never had this type of problem before I put avg and kaspersky on my comp and it does it with both of the keys i have.

I have since realised that I can get into certain games .. but can not get into others (games with passwords seem to be the most unsuccesful) ... im not sure what to make of it. Gamespy runs automaticly right?(I do not install gs arcade when prompted in the install)

My clan is getting tired of me killing there games trying to join them.
