Imperial Campaign vs. Provincial Campaign

I searched the forums but i didnt find anything wich can answer my question.
Maybe its a noobish question but I dont see any difference between the Imperial and the Provincial Campaign in RS1.6a

Imperial campaign there is no Senate, Provincial there is a Senate =)

I don't now about everyone else, but there's no 'short campaign' option.

What do you mean? Now short campaign option for Provincial Campaign?

I don't have one. Usually you have an option, like in the imperial campaign.

I get errorless CTDs when I play the prov. campaign that I don't get in the imperial campaign, so I don't play it much.
