I am not sure if the guy is on acid or something while making those backgrounds, but I sure feel as if I was when I look at them. Very cool and distinctive.
Haha, sorry, here ya go, this will be one of the images within the vinyl sleeve, the cover will be the death scene.
I'm glad my paintings replicate a psychedelic experience for you, haha. I have no real routine for what state of mind I am in when painting, mostly I am just tired after work or had a smoke.
I went through a few iterations of the shield and arrived at this one in the end. I based it off of a real gallic shield from history and used whatever colours worked, I know shields back then were meant to be brightly coloured so I didn't hold back!
I am also aware that the celtic aesthetics on Ireland were definitely different from the ones on mainland Europe but I also know that they would have been trading a lot.

In the story they fought for four days, and shared food and drink and healing herbs after each day. They were foster brothers and loved each other but fought for two different factions. The war was over bulls too which is mad, haha. But a reality in Ireland back then as dairy was our main source of food.
