    Icon5 Client Kingdoms and Protectorates?

What does that mean? It just said "The following have become client kingdoms and then it listed Macedon and House of Brutti"...at the same time House of Skipii, Roman Republic and Thrace declared war on Macedon...so I checked the diplomacy chart and it shows Macedon and House of Brutti at war, but no one has anything under Protectorates...so what is a Client Kingdom and what is a Protectorate?

    - A protectorate is a nation under the rule of another nation basically. The 2 nations have pretty much everything with each other. (Military Access, Trade Agreement, Map Info, & more.)

    - A Client Kingdom is when one nation makes another nation become their protectorate.

    - I am guessing the reason for a war between Brutii & Macedon is probably because another Roman faction declared war on Macedon. If one Roman Faction declares war on a faction, it is a very, very likely chance the rest of the Roman factions will do the same on the next turn. Make sure you check the order of your messages. They probably said the client kingdom was established before they said there was a war. war will pretty much take nearly everything waya. (Alliance, Military Access, ect.)

Thanks, I don't remember the order but it all happened at once, like within one turn...you're probably right...either Macedon or Bruti became the vassal or client kingdom, since that is what I'm assuming it is (does the Vassal nation pay a portion of their income to the parent nation like in newer versions?) and as soon as that happened Skippi and Rome said "oh no you don't" and declaired war with Bruti chosing Rome over their new vassal as soon as it happened.

I don't really think they pay you anything. Then again they might but I haven't really seen any big changes in my income.
