Damsai- A larger nation around Rompt, there is none. Her lands stretch for almost the entire length of the southern lake. The wars that lead to this massive empire are numerous, and her enemies are also numerous. The question of ‘Quantity or Quality’ defiantly falls into Quality for Damsai. Sense the rule of Krintess Blok, the empire has fallen into disarray, militarily. The answer was to allow the local lord of cities in the lands to recruit every single man trained enough to swing a sword. Due to this, Damsai often uses Swordsmen, so as to fully engage the ability to swarm the enemy. Some of the few experienced men are recruited specially into the ‘Blok’s Guards,’ a regiment of highly talented and experienced swordsmen to fight in the name of Krintess Blok himself. Unfortunately, the Guards are only a few men compared to the armies, and only 1 regiment can be installed per existence of the guards…
Vatire- Vatire takes huge pride in her stubborn survival. Surrounded by the Damsai empire, the country has survived 4 wars, and though losing land, has succeeded in holding 2 cities. Vatire’s survival relied partially on the fact that she had lakeside territory, and no navy to this day surpasses hers. The other 2 factors that kept her alive are the adapted and balanced armies. The archers are of good quality, and the infantry is light and fast, but strong. Cavalry is non-existent, as is heavy infantry, for the remaining territory of Vatire is also surrounded by mountain, and there is no point for and Cavalry, or heavy infantry. The advantage of Vatire’s land is that Vatire can amass citizens who know the art of archery already mastered, and those who are trained in armies, are accurate to 500 yards…
Krocksol- In the north-western edge of Lake Rompt, a rising empire, has seen good rule, and loyal people, and has expanded from only a city, into a large empire, but still grows, now controlling about a 5th of the territory around lake Rompt. Constant wars with Jifak and minor rebels have weakened Krocksol, and had it not been for the call to arms, and the willingness to fight by the citizens, Krocksol would have been doomed to fall. This spirit in the people has led to Krocksol loving to use cavalry, as her plains feed horses well, and the farmers who fight know how to ride, all it takes is a bit of training in Krocksolian eyes, and any man can fight…
Biamy- A united people under one flag who are not in the thick of any political matters. Surrounded by separate rebel states that are relatively simple to conquer, Biamy has created its empire off of ‘uniting’ lands, but by no means even borders another nation, other than Damsai. But Damsai has no care to conquer, and Biamy only sees Damsai as another rebel city, too powerful to suck up. In fact, its location north of Lake Rompt provides belief that most of the Rompt civilizations are not known to Biamy. But the slow progression of the Biamist armies provides the ability to use heavy knights, and spearmen, who can march leisurely, the Biamist government is happy to sit around happily in peace…
Jifak- A nation reaching around the western edge of Lake Rompt held promise in the last few centuries, but has grown weaker under her corrupt rulers from the Blashin dynasty. Jifak is a country heavily influenced by more western powers of Graker, and her lands do not follow the fishing life style of the other Rompt civilizations. Her armies though, are majestic, there banners high, and her archery skill unsurpassed by any. But, as do all western civilizations, the swordsmen are weak, and those strong are hard to find. The unique characteristic of a Jifakian soldier is there stuck-up ways. The lands are also filled with mercenaries, Jifak’s small area leads to the recruitment of quite a bit of mercenaries, for a price…
