Game crashes during loading screen

I double click the icon to start the game. A window appears and i see third age total war 2.1 loading screen. Then the game crashes without any popups. I have medieval and americas kingdom. Also i tried running game as administrator and i get a popup that says: can't find kingdoms.exe. What do i do?

What OS are you on?
I have this problem with stainless steel, have you any other mods installed?

ave you got UAC on? if not then try a reinstall.

After three installs I was having the same problems. CDT at the loading sceen.
Before the fourth reinstalled I disabled the UAC and voala it worked.

1) When does your problem happen?

2) What Windows do you have?

3) Is your M2TW a Steam or non Steam version?

4) What mod and version are we talking about here? You have installed TATW 3.0 both parts + TATW 3.2 Patch?

And make sure you installed everything correctly, 9 times out of 10 its someone missing a step so I would check over it to be sure

can anyone help me. I have tried to install third age and every time I go to load it up it crashes at the loading screen, I followed the instructions on moddb but doesn't work, I have turned of day light savings mode of and still crashes on loading, any suggestions on how to get it to work.

1) What Windows do you have?

2) Is your M2TW a Steam or non Steam version? If it is a Steam version, is it updated with that latest Multiplayer patch?

3) Have you downloaded and installed TATW 3.0 both parts + TATW 3.2 Patch?

i have the non steam version, i have installed both 3.0 parts and the 3.2 patch, went to the file location and tried to run as admin, it said windows can't find kindoms, i have installed all the kingdoms campaign, i have played this mod on other computer but it broke, i am using windows 7

Try to not run it as an Administrator. Go here( http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...1#post13675060 ) and apply first step explained ( Edit Security, unhide hidden folders, search the VirtualStore). If that doesn't fix it, reinstall TATW by using those steps from the link.

3) Did you find M2TW in your VirtualStore folder, and had deleted it?

got the game working, going 2 install DaC mod, thx for the help.

Before installing any submod for TATW, I would advise you to make a backup copy somewhere of your whole Third_Age_3 folder ( just not in your main M2TW folder ). This way you can just copy/paste it back in case you screw up some installation, or if you want to install another submod.

i tried to install DaC v 0.5 and it said that windows cannot access the specific device path, or file, what am i doing wrong?
