Troops Moving instead of shooting

Has anyone notice a problem of advancing to the enemy position instead of shooting them when you click on a enemy to be attacked?

I will have a line infantry highlighted and click on an enemy unit for them to engage in range combat, but instead my troops advance to their position. The hth icon is off too.

Anybody else notice this?

nope and this should be in the tech forums.

what you should do is verify the integrity of the cache

delete any mods

Do you have Fire and Advance selected for the units?
