Alkidas would probably give you more thorough answer when he turns up, but Venice has no transitions, CL can be taken over by either Milan or Genoa and CT can be taken over by either Florence or Pisa. The exact consequences in game terms are yet to be developed though they are planned but alas I am not that familiar with the plan.
I saw Bologna,Ancona, and Sienna mentioned, will they be transition options?
Yeah probably not. Pisa/Florence and Milan/Genova I think will be the transition options. Sienna is not a planned settlement although it might be present in the form of a Permanent Stone Fortress... hold on I'll just check the list to see if Sienna is suggested as a PSF...
Yes it certainly is! But its unlikely it'll be an independent region capital and very unlikely there'll be a transition option to it.
Sorry northern Italy is very hard to portray faithfully based on the limitations of the game.
Sienna isn't planned as a settlement so it won't be a transition option I'm afraid, I doubt the other two as well-
thanks for the reply.just wanted to know. And one more question, which faction do you start out as for communi liberi and toscani?

CL is Milan I believe and CT is Pisa, as these seem to have been the stronger elements at the time. However this is not a clear cut situation since the power within the facitons is always going to be variable between title holders such as Dukes, Podestates (who acquire title through choices in the tech tree) and natural strength of characters who without titles could become the faction leader if they have strong enough characteristics. Although obviously a character with titles is going to have enhanced characteristics and will more likely be a contender for the the FL position. But anyway, that kind of uncertainty is how we designed the politics of the republics to play out in these factions
interesting,i'll be sure to play as them.
How will ireland be represented?
abit off topic though sorry
God dam, I wish Boromir survived

The same as all of the other medieval states that are not playable - regional units and a settlement, and maybe some ancillaries and retinue.
A new mobile phone tower went up in a town in the USA, and the local newspaper asked a number of people what they thought of it. Some said they noticed their cellphone reception was better. Some said they noticed the tower was affecting their health.
A local administrator was asked to comment. He nodded sagely, and said simply: "Wow. And think about how much more pronounced these effects will be once the tower is actually operational."
