I'm not a beta tester so can't show it in an RSII context, but i guess it will be out soon.
Well, since I've had some experience with the language, I hope you will be able to incorporate some nice grammatical constructions that the writers of the time used a lot. However hard I always found them to translate, they do look really beautiful once you have them translated correctly

I wish I could help you with this, but I think I have forgotten most of the language to be of any help

Latin status, er done the menu, expanded_bi, shared and strat. I guess those are the basics. At least the menu looks cool in Latin

I've also done some of the unit names. That is all.

If you have a latin dictionary still you can help alot. Most of the files require one-word translating, such as building_battle, the building names, or even the names of the ancillaries.

I will try my best for nice latin, but i doubt my prose will have the same concise construction as Sallust

My opinion on this, is that your effort to translate it into Latin is creditable...

You must be a genius to translate RS II in Latin! :O I've studied it for 5 years during Liceo (High School) in Italy, but I still find it a really complex language. Probably Italian is the modern language more similar to Latin, even if (fortunately! ) Italian has lost declensions for nouns, pronounces, etc!! I've heard German has still them! But a part for declensions German words are really different from Latin ones, so I think for Italians it's easier learning Latin than for the others.

However who would be able to play RS II in Latin? I think nobody! Either me that I've studied Latin many year I would able without searching many words on my Latin dictionary. But not everybody has a Latin dictionary.

About Sallust it's obvious that nobody expects that you can write in Latin like Cicero, Caesar, etc! A part for the single words, it's really really hard translate correclty a complex text in Latin.

Sadly I don't have a Latin dictionary anymore. There are some english - latin dictionaries on the internet though, but I don't believe they are very complete. I can give it a try though, I have the files myself.

Paedric I've passed last 20min to find out where the thread was moved! Fortunately there's search function...But wasn't better place it in "RSII Previews" section?

However I've a question for you! I've noticed that there are two files for building descriptions. One is the standard file, the other is named something like "backup" if I remember correclty. We have to translate just standard file right?

If you were able to post there, yes.

And to everyone, files named back_up, or ***.bak, or whatever don't need to be translated.

    Hi Alexandros I.
ich bin sehr erfreut zu sehen, dass es eine deutsche Übersetzung geben wird. Ich habe zwar nicht wirklich viel Zeit, aber ich könnte euch trotzdem sicherlich behilflich sein.(falls ihr noch Hilfe braucht) Ich weiß zwar nicht genau, wie diese Forumsache funktioniert(neu im Geschäft) aber ich warte mal einfach ab was passiert.

    bis dann

Thanks guys. I hope that it will actually be quite easy to play even in latin, dedoladoda. If you've played enough, you know what english word is meant to be there in the game anyway, i do at least! Otherwise, it will be good for learning, yay, haha.

I don't expect to finish anytime soon, but hopefully i will have some basic stuff together for a teaser when RS II comes out. The quotes are something i really want to do, i think it would look wicked on the splash screens but there are quite a few.
