Couple of questions

Hi there,

First I've tried to edit the preferences file, so that the green arrows beneath my legions feet don't show, changed the disable_marker_arrow (or something like that) from False tot True, saved, but still the arrows show up.... even when I start a new campaign....what am I doing wrong?

Second, I wanted to create a Oliphaunt, for the fun of it, only the cheat won't work, the Rome Shell tells me it's an unknown command. Any ideas? Haven't tried any other cheats though....

Which preferences.txt file are you editing? The one you want to change is in data/preferences not the one in data. For the second, assuming the mod left the unit in you're probably not spelling the command correctly.

Hi Squid,

That's the file I'm editing, in the data\preferences folder...... I've copied the file to desktop, edited then copied it back to data\preferences, should work right?
I'm not using any mods, playing vanilla, will try the command once more.

The Oliphaunt technically exists in the vanilla version (or so i've heard) it appears to be a bug.

I forgot to enter the Characters name when I typed Oliphaunt....

I've noticed that when i use the "cheat" to create this unit, the option to bribe
disappears from the diplomacy window.... any other strange things happen to you when "cheating"?

Some cheats don't work on the latest patches, and the Oliphaunt is an Easter egg CA put in the game. It can be found in that isolated town in the very north of the world map if I recall correctly.

You do know you can click a settlement or a character & then type the cheat in as oliphaunt

I took the Amazon city a week ago, but there were only Amazons on chariots, no elephants whatsoever, not even mammoths...
