    Default Getting 2.0 - Any extra submods?

    Hey guys,

    Going to download TATW 2.0 after a break away from it... I want the full experience from the start though; are there any submods like RR/RC that I need to get in addition to the download files, or are they all there from the start?

    Well I don't think there are that many submods compatible yet, you will have to check out the submod section and see for yourself.

    Well.. You should download it now and wait till RC/RR is made compatible. I seriously wouldn`t play vanilla third age.. Except maybe the fellowship campaign.

    It's not that bad, i'm playing as Eriador and i'm finding it difficult. Although i have placed massive restrictions and changed Dunedain BG to rangers. No hobbits outside the Shire and maybe 1 or 2 in Bree/Staddle, only troops built in Bree/Staddle garrison there and they only fight for each other and don't leave the area. No militia troops built in Fornost/Annuminas/ Amon Sul only rangers/dunedain and the woodsmen/hunters and that is the defence force outside Bree/Shire lands.
    Were there but a tree in this godforsaken place i would have hanged myself.

    thats a pretty horrible thing to say about the mod that was just released after some heavy work put in for free.

    Well to be honest I agree with Lordinquisitor. Although I really apreciate the hard work the team has put into this release, I won't really start playing the campaign until RR/RC is updated. I've started playing with Eriador until I restored Arnor, but it was no real fun. There are just too many small things I miss from RR/RC.
    But unitl the update the Fellowship campaign is going to keep me busy.

    Why? He has the right to like or dislike any mod he wants.

    I agree with the above - Vanilla is pretty good, but RR/RC makes it great. Its not an insult to KK at all, i just preffer Ponit Blank's style.

    I'll probably make some small sub-mod that adds in a European faction to Middle Earth As some kind of freak explorer wormhole thingy accident

    Well if you wait a little while FROME and RR/RC will surely have compatible versions available.

    I've been trying to do this myself but I'm having trouble with gunpowder units especially musketeers who always cause a CTD when I try to load them up in battle.

    the good thing with the 2d art submods is that more or less they may become
    compatible from day 1, if not allready comp....and since they hardly ever alter anything that may result a mess
    sometimes even previous releases may be comp with the TAWT updates without great effort
    the rest of us will just lose some sleeping hours, from now on.....

    Honestly i'll enjoy both of them...how can i resist to download and install the 2.0? Of course not and i did it! But how can i resist to stop playing the 1.4.1 RR/RC? Of course not again! And remember that a new update of this will arrive by Pb...so definitively i can't really stay without RR/RC on my computer..The only thing i need? An external HD!!

    I think with RR/RC its a little bit like smoking, once you started its hard to let it go again.

    But after some hours of feeling like somethings missing i enjoy now my third eriador/arnor campaign anyway.
    I only wont touch my beloved uruk hai without RR/RC, they have to wait for their manflesh.

    I have to go back to my Gandalf "Lord of Terror" and cause a little more bloodshed...
    there will be a new order of darkness... with or without uruks...

    Erm why aren't you posting all this whining in RR/RC thread? I swear it seems like that swedish boy Mithrandir made 20 alts just to cry about RR/RC in TATW forums
