CTD ........... HELP plz?

just installed the LATEST SS RR/RC VERSION ***APRIL 11***
SS just ctd when starting up.

NOTE: this update is to be applied over the top of main October 30 version but can also be applied over the top of the previous March 21 patch.

Did you install it on top of the October 30 version? Apr 11 version is only a patch.

M2TW>KINGDOMS>1.5 patch>SS 6.0>SS 6.1>SS 6.2 RR/RC>RUN THE BATCH FILE>SS 6.2 RR/RC HOTFIX for April or June(beta i believe)>RUN THE BATCHFILE2

From what I can tell,

stat_pri statistic refers to non-existant projectile type 'cav_mass_war_arrow'

and

seem to be the problem.

I've attacked the desc_projectile.txt file that contains cav_mass_war_arrow. Not sure how your current desc_projectile.txt could not have that.

Did you remember to extract to m2tw directory, not the stainless steel? and run the batch files.
Just to confirm. You installed both stainless steel parts, patched too 6.1, patched too 6.2 RR/RC, ran the batch file, used the hotfix found on the page you linked and ran the second batch file you were given? If so installation was good. Was your M2TW patched too 1.04 or 1.05? and if running windows 7 make sure UAC is turned OFF.
To do so on the start menu type in UAC and drag the meter down too the bottom. Restart for changes to take effect.
Also, if you still encounter problems, when re-installing go too the M2TW directory, right click the folder, and turn read only OFF. so no mark in teh box. click apply to all subfolders as well.
ALSO in the extraction of 6.2 RR/RC click yes too confirm overwrite of every duplicate.

still no luck.
this time i manage to go to the main menu
but after loading my game, it CTDs again.
so heartbroken.......

Thank you for the info Point Blank...

You need too reinstall Stainless Steel and instal RR/RC correctly, because it seems that you have not.

did you turn off UAC??(window vista and 7) i turned it off and i can run it perfectly..but i still have one minor CTD..http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...370579&page=10
