    Default How to properly unpack?

I've been having problems opening up any .tga files in my mod folder and vanilla. Its was suggested my files may not have been unpacked properly by the program I used (MineHe M2TW Packer). The problem is I have several units who have suddenly lost their unit cards and unit icons.

I'm going to try to re-unpack everything using a different method to see if this fixes my problem but if not I'm going to reinstall the game, the mod I use and the submods I use. I just wanna make sure if it comes to that I follow the steps recommended before adding in a mod, and everything else. Basically I just need a certified way to unpack properly.

    Any suggestions?

An old sage said many moons ago, once you get it unpacked there is no reason to repack it. It's not Rome.

I usually unpack outside the game folders. That way you always have a back up - you simply copy the file you want from there into your mod folder without a worry.

The BAT files in the attachment will unpack into the C:\Unpack folder. Move them after the unpacking if you feel like.

Ok I uninstalled and deleted KGCM folder, and then did these steps:
    1. Installed m2tw
    2. Applied 1.2
    3. Applied 1.3
    4. Installed kingdoms
    5. Applied kingdoms patch
    6. Unpacked to default
    7. Installed KGCM
    8. Installed HHB submod
    9. Installed my own submod

And I still have units missing unit cards and unit pics. Which when I applied my own edited files I made sure to only apply unit_info and units folders to antioch and jerusalem. Yet egypt has some town militia unit (I suspect as being a merc) with no unit card. The two merc units I saw named town_militia are for european factions not middle eastern. I am sure this was not like this before I tried allowing Hospitaller and Templars for both Crusader states. And I know I did not edit these units because I had no reason to and I never play with muslims.

Well, somewhere along the line something got edited. You might have more success asking the guys from the HHB mod.
The best way would have been to check after each mod\sub mod installation.
And if it was a default (vanilla) unit, then unpacking didn't achieve anything.

The submod was fine before I started changing things.

If I was given an edited battle_models, would that explain my problem? Its the only thing I can think of.

Are you using Vista or 7?
If so, UAC enabled or disabled?
Was your upnack count 26,000+ or 36,000+?

For XP, the count is 36,00+. The unpacker was written for XP and never updated.

I figured out my problem. When I changed ownership of rebel provinces to egypt, I forgot to assign Egyptian units instead of rebel units.
