    Icon4 Proposal: Aeger numerus bellum (Zombie: Total War

    I have reached the desired feedback from my idea (Zombie total war) in order to make Aeger numerus bellum, Latin for Infected: Total War.

    Cast:
    Mod leader: Me (keneticpest)

    Coder/scripter: The Last Legion of Rome

    Skinner/modeler: Tyrtaeus

    Mapper: N/A (open, but not needed for said mod)

    Faction Symbols: Keneticpest, FabianScarus

    Animator: N/A (open)

    OK an Idea just struck me.

    Well I need to ask a question first, will this be in the early Roman Empire or late Roman Empire?

    Well anyway if its in the Late Period of Rome (when Rome ruled Europe) Then there could be emerging zombie fractions for Areas of the empire that are not doing well (example: if there is low public order in Spain then "Undead Spain" will come out as if to reclaim there lands). They could all have unique units like Undead Hoplite or a Undead Greece fraction.

    I'd have to be in Late era because they'd represent fractions the Romans already had defeated.

    Just a thought.

    The mod will not change the date or map (unless some one volunteers as a mapper) so it would be the Late Empire as this is for BI. I had an idea similar to that, instead of one zombie faction, make unique factions such as the Mummies in Africa/Middle East, Vampires (the real vampires, not those ones of today) in Carpathia, and maybe Ghostly creatures in Britannia (Banshees, Ghosts, Will o the Wisps)

    Also would the only fraction playable be the Romans or would the undead also be playable?

    Just wondering, to be the mapper what kinda programs do you have to use?

    You need Photoshop/Gimp and a basic text editor (notepad/wordpad). There are a number of 3rd party tools that make it easier though.

    you'll need some skinners that had enough guts too see all the gore pictures you need then.....

    to archieve the desired result, I suggest you to skin the zombie using real disturbing pictures as base, cartoonic zombies are too.... laughable....

    oh yeah, you just need milkshape and cut some heads from basic models....

    *. BTW : is that gore pictures violating TWC rules, even if they are specific for the mod theme? I have some allready for suggestions.... (if that not violating, I could help with the skins)

    Well, I know that we are currently doing the media tasks at the moment, so i'm sure you will be able to feast your eyes on some Cool graphics soon.

    I haven't started coding yet until we decide on certain things.

    But overall it's starting off good.

    Well, we've started (well I have at least) on making some units, if I'm honest, I'm not sure how the progress goes with the coding, haven't spoken with KP for a few days

    OK the so far we have are two symbols. Egyptian Zombies (or mummies) and the Hordes of the Undead:

    The loading screen is as follows (80% complete):



    Some of the new possible factions:

    The Hordes of the Undead

    Egyptian Zombies (Aka Mummies)

    The Humans

    Vampire Alliance

    Demonic Overlords

    And Some small Factions could be included.


    I believe that's for the time being. I will post any other info as the team creates. Consider me a public relations official
