    Default Really Screwed Up

    Hi,

I really screwed up: I was trying to uninstall Empire Total War because I realized I didn't need it for Napoleon and thought it was merely taking up extra space. I searched around on some forums and saw that all I had to do was delete the "common" folder for the game. I foolishly didn't think to specifically delete only that game's folder and deleted the actual "COMMON" folder (Steam/steamapps/common). So now all my games have been deleted.

Is there any way I can redownload them without paying again? Please spare me any jokes or snide remarks, I've undoubtedly punished myself enough.

    Please help.

    Thanks

haha don't worry, firstly if you haven't emptied your Recycle bin, they are in there. Just right click on them and restore.

But if they're not there, just go to steam, open your game library, right click on the game (you want to install), and click properties, then go to local files and select verify game cache.

Then steam will see its missing the files and will put them back.

Thank you for your quick reply and reassurance!

I will try that out now, and post back if I have any problems.

    Thanks again!

Even if you can't do that, you wouldn't have to pay again to download them, i had 3 downloaded games on my laptop... when i got a new PC i simply logged onto steam on it and downloaded the games there.

Not N:TW and E:TW... i bought the disc copy of those (i like to show off my Total War collection hahaha)
