[Decision]Full CdeC Transparency trial period timetable extension.

The downtimes and my own desire to get the CdeC on board with this concept have played havoc with the timetable for the CdeC transparency trial run. It is due to end in 4 days, on July 27. This is unfortunate as there have been no cases to examine in the time slot allowed and so the trial run is rendered useless. I have two solutions to this.

Case count

This decision will extend the trial period on the number of cases held within the transparent trial forum. After five cases, citizenship or disciplinary, the curia shall re-examine the trial period as explained in [Amendment] Full CdeC Transparency.

How about at least to September 1 and at least 5 cases.

I'd say to at least September 1st and at least 10 cases with at least one passed citizenship attempt, one failed citizenship attempt and one disciplinary hearing. I'd do both passed and failed disciplinary hearings but I don't know that we'll get enough of those in a reasonable time period.

Gah, it really pisses the increasingly large anti-health & safety, politically incorrect, chain-smoking, beer swilling, belching and farting in front of the vicar, monster inside of me.

The transparency thing passed right? Just extend it until it can be shown to be demonstrably working or failing. It's ludicrous that it should be enacted and then not be given the chance, either way, to show what could happen.

Yes it was, but it also due to the nature of a trial period needed a stopping point for assessment, but that point is nearly upon us requiring another bill to make it so.

I'll do a mix of the two when I have the chance to sit down this evening.

Perhaps we should simply propose the use of good judgement by the Curator to determine when the trial period has succeeded or failed. If at the end of the next Curator's term, this issue is not resolved the trial evaporates into the ether. At any time the Curator can bring forward a proposal to finalize the experiment.

Harry is correct -- we are far too rules oriented with this. This is not the fault of the Curator for following the rules the Curia has set down though.
