RTW won't start

I've just installed RTW on my new computor, it's VISTA but when i click the icon on the desktop it just comes up with an error message saying, and i quote "Windows cannot access the specific device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item." then it just gives me the option "OK" (which it isn't) and closes. I am an administator. So then i tried using my computor and double clicking on drive E: where it has The RTW logo, the Play/Install page thingcomes up but when i click play it closes and does nothing. Please help!!!!!!

Are you logged in as Administrator?
Did you check XP Compatibility Mode?
Did you disable the UAC?
Did you you set the proper permissinos in your security settings like antivirus, firewall, etc.?

Frist of all - welcome to the forum.

What is your 'E' drive? Is it where the game was installed or is it the CD-ROM / DVD-ROM.

What version of RTW have you got? Is it a retail version or is it a download form somewhere? If it's a download where did it come from?
