    HI i was wondering if someone could help me!.i have disabled uac and the battles in 2.0 works without a problem. but both fellowship and grand campaign dont work. just in load the game crashes and goes back to windows!! i have tried everthing. the 1.4 vs worked perfect .. can someone help plz!!!!

    same problem i have and ive asked for help on numerous occasions with no response. im redownloading and going to reinstall as well hopefully it works ill let you know if this works

    Have you tried Germanicu5's fixes in post #262?

    iv done it 10 times now. vista is crap! have gold edition and all works but the campaign still buzz me.. dont know why 1.4 works but not 2.0....

    Did you read post 262 ? Also disable the adviser

    just a minor bug. Im playing as High Elves and my ally eriador just completed the arnorian reemergence, however, all of their territories and campaign map units and their "turn icon" is still labeled as free peoples of eriador

    I've tried nearly every single solution to fix my CTDs but I still can't start/load any campaigns/savegames/battles :/ I don't know what to do if the bugfixer doesn't work :S

    Don't know if anybody mentioned this already, but the gate oil in bree doesn't work.

    It's turned off for cities. You need a large city to use it.

    im trying to use germanics fix now, but i need help in knowing how to run it properly.

    when im downloading do i run or save?
    if i save do i just save under thirdage data

    if i run do i copy and paste the text to the file?

    When playing the Fellowship (fantastic work, by the way), I had advanced into Moria to attack the Balrog, on about turn 17.

    I could not have moved there any quicker, and tried to attack as soon as possible, but was told that I acted too slowly and had failed the campaign.

    What is the time limit to attack the Balrog from when you enter the Moria region?

    I had to reset character to avoid this.

    You need to save these files in Third_Age\data\ directory and overwrite old ones.

    That has to be due to incorrect installation, I'd bet on UAC not being turned off if you're running the game on Vista\Win 7.

    thats what i thought was the issue the 1st time i installed the game...but its not. i just recently redownloaded and reinstalled the game with uac off. (vista btw) when installing part 1 it got stuck on 6% 14% and 98% idk if that means something messed up or if thats normal.

    I'd try uninstalling TATW and making sure you delete Third_Age\data\ directory (you can keep saves, preferences etc).

    Then look for a folder like (UAC-related):
    C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Sega\Medieval2 Total War (default path, could differ a bit) and delete it.

    As for installation being stuck at certain % - as long as no errors pop up, it should be fine.

    Then download updated files I uploaded.

    it worked! +rep to you sir thank you for all the help i can finally play the mod now

    fyi i uninstalled tatw 2.0 and was goin to just reinstall but i looked under the mod folder for medieval 2 like you said and sure enough though it said that tatw was uninstalled it still had files under the mod sections for medieval. after deleting the files for good i reinstalled and it worked fine

    I'm glad I managed to help a bit.

    @Niall27

    It shouldn't open, when you click it you probably have an option of opening or saving the file, choose save and put both files in Third_Age\data (the default directory is: C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\Third_Age\data). Ofc overwrite older versions.
