    Default Rebels romans shields

Ive seen all the pictures about the rebels legions , whats make me creasy apart that i would be obligated to fight and kill thoses so beautiful legions , is that i will never be able to recruit them ? it should be possible to choose between the shields of the legions , the rebels ones got some sooooo cool shields , is there any way to make them recruitable ? like replacing the lorica hamata ones with the rebels ones ( because after building curia hostilia , in some places you only recruit LH legions or the LH AND LS ones ) after building a curia hostilia ? i'll prefer a lot fighing the same legions as mines some times , but beiing able to recruit those rebles shields ones ...

The current focus is campaign balancing, not about aesthetic quality of the mod at this point. The team has more or less finished modeling and skinning and needs more help with campaign balancing. Perhaps after release, a sub-mod in which the rebel shields are available to the Roman players can be created, but this shouldn't be the focus of the beta testers.

Divide brings up a good point though. If one of the beta testers is asking for it, you can imagine how the population will be asking for it greater.

Yeah , reflextion about this maybe after release wil be good , for my personal opition i found thats there is a bit much the same "wings and lightings " shields , some can be replaced by the rebels ones that are very original in order to add a bit of diversity

I understand that people may see a shield or a unit or something they really like and want to have it for their very own, but come on guys, RS2 is the sum of all it's parts. What makes it nice is that you have your own great units, and other factions have theirs. Heck, there are a ton of units in this mod that I drool over.......killing in battle, nevertheless, playing as the Romans! For example, some of the Sarmatian nobles and horse archers are just fabulous works of art, but that doesn't mean they have to be in MY army.

Anyway, Tone and I just had a little discussion about the UI a few hours ago, and all the unit and building cards in RS2 will be left unpacked, so people can move textures, unit cards, whatever they wish all over the place. I suspect that quite a few individuals may want to work on sub-mods, variations, etc...and that's fine. I welcome it, and it can only make us happy as a team that people like this enough to do their own thing with it. BUT, this area is for BETA TESTING, as chaplain118 said, and you guys are supposed to be testing and reporting issues, campaigns, finances, problems, etc....not starting threads ooo'ing and ahhh'ing about this shield or that. That belongs (or will belong) in the general forum when RS2 is released.
