Only LOD 1 is high poly all the rest will be the least amount of polys as possible, trust me it will make up for the extra polys in LOD 1

We were so sure we'd never get an equipment plugin that i didnt even start on all the rifles and such til i knew for 100% sure that it works and we've verified it definitely works

How so?

Ive gotten many many models in game and i can see all the details, the German heavy howitzer LOD 1 is over 6000 polys and i can see every bit of detail, same with the tanks and the rifles and side arms.

You have a point that if you were viewing the LOD 1 models from a distance none of that detail would really show up but thats the whole point of the LOD system. The rifles and sidearms have 2 LODs so LOD 1 will be high poly as in the sidearms i just posted then LOD 2 will be about 1/3 as many polys if not less and that will be the version you see when you zoom out.

though on topic B-DizL makes beautifully models and are also pretty nice in game so i dont see the problem here.

What are you basing an acceptable poly count on? The in game models? If so are you suggesting that i should use the same poly count as a pistol from 1805 to model a modern revolver?

Should i use the poly count of one of the 1805 cannons for my 1914 artillery?

That is just ridiculous IMO

Pistols for officers are fine as high poly lod 1's. Rifles, not so much but a less complex shape anyway.
