Color: Julii
Campaign: Scipii
I was once an Angel of Total War Heaven, but gave up my wings for a life on the sea of battle.
I like fighting Greeks and Egyptians, so Brutii is my favorite, and they get the best income.
Julii. Based only on their color.

When did you become interested in politics?
The very instant I became old.
I guess color wins it all...so will NOT go for the Julii. Scipii look epic in blue and mirmillo gladiators are the best looking ones. Corvus Quinquiremes are a little plus that is way more useful than arcani.
can u edit ur title anyone ?
Brutii. Personally I disagree with Phalanx warfare, probably because after all these years I still can't do it properly. So nothing gives me more satisfaction then sending Romans to hold up Pikemen et al then using Gennyrals to slam behind them forcing a human crush effect. Brutii are in the best place to do that. Hence my vote.
Barring my love for dogpiling Phalanx's, Scipii for the campaign. Due to my lack of awesomeness. It's a challenge. But a good one!
Also the three different romans have differnt gladiators (u probs no that tho :laugh![]()
Scippi, its fun to fight elephants, and they dont have to fight phalanx until late game
Someone...
Hi there.
Well I like all three roman families. But for different reasons. So I can list why I like them, instead of which one I like the most (that said, I play most as the Brutii.
I like the Julii for the Challenge. They are in for a big and difficult fight against the other romans, due to their lack of good exp-temples.
I like the Scipii for the difficulty. They face the two strongest non-roman factions in the early game (Carthage and Greece).
I like the Brutii for the entertaining value. They face by far the most enemies.

-I find the Julii rather boring because they fight stupid barbarians, and come across the smallest settlements.
-The Brutii are more fun, they fight a great variaty of enemy's,from the Greeks to the Egyptians and the Parthians.
-The Scipii are my favourite Roman faction, they fight the Carthaginians(with their awsome elephants) and the Numidians. They also have the best starting position i think, because they have a city on an island wich is easy to conquer and a city on the Italian peninsula, from wich they can easy expand north and east.
Julii. The other factions are too damn easy.
Brutii can easily beat the Greeks and Macedonians to a pulp with simple hammer and anvil tactics, and once they have all Greece they won't ever have money problems again, and it only gets worse once they have all settlements that can sea trade with the Greek mainland an the Colossus on Rhodes. When the other factions have built up good armies you'll be so stinking rich you can just storm them. In one VH/VH campaign I rushed from Pergamum all the way to Alexandria almost without stop and ran into very little noticeable opposition due to my extreme armies backed by extreme wealth.
The Scipii are also easy. Go kill the Greeks in Syracuse, Take Sardinia before the Julii and then kill the single Elephant unit on Sicily before taking Lilybaeum. Land an army in North Africa and conquer Carthage itself. The Carthaginians power is now broken, the Spaniards have likely taken out their settlement in Iberia and you can take the remaining cities at your leisure. Steamrolling the Numidians is easy, and you can establish a trade empire giving tons of cash, if less than the Brutii. If you're fast you can even snatch Rhodes to get the bonus to sea trade. The Greeks will be ganged up on by everyone and their dog, so they can't offer much resistance. Much money ensues, which only grows after you get Egypt. That faction is the best non-Roman faction, but it just cannot protect itself against legions backed by money.
The Julii, however, have to watch their economy. They conquer small and poor cities, and while the barbarians are not always a hard challenge they can quickly get to train their strongest units. Eventually the Julii can also get tons of money, but they need to take much more care overall.
The blood red Legions carry the day.
Julii because they're red
Its annoying that the Romans dont have unique units, ( forget the Gladiators)
It would be awesome to see special Julii or Brutii units.
