Default Hayasdan Question from a newbie.

Ok, so i just started up as Hayasdan and not even my capital is capable of having a type 1or 2 government in it, WTF? None of the other cities around it either such as Ani, Phraaspa, Kotais, or that other one that starts with an M can as well. Is it supposed to be that way, is there something wrong with my game? Is an event coming along that changes this? Do i need to update to 1.2? If so I need a working mirror for the patch because I don't torrent stuff because it just goes too damn slow for me to use it and tells me I don't have a "listening port" or something.

Read the FAQ and update to 1.2. 1.2 isn't a very big download, compared to 1.1 anyways.

Hayasdan is one of the hardest campaign. The FAQ will answer your question about type I gov in your capital.

I'm going to start a campaign today with Hayasdan, any cool stories/advice? (on Campaign H and Battle M)

Well I guess I'm waiting around for the pan-caucasus reforms, I had read the FAQ earlier and just kinda skipped over that part.....oops. Advice on Hayasdan? Well I'm only at like 265 bc but just take out all those yummy rebel places in the mountains, don't let anyone sneak around in your mountain passes so use spies, watchtowers, and forts more than you normally would. You can maybe snag a few AS places at the beginning when all the other satraps declare war or break off, if not you can do what I did as the Pahlava and try inciting a revolt in a few towns with spies and assassins. Other than that......pray to the Hayasdan god of your choosing (unless you think you might go to actual hell for worshiping false idols).

    Hello everyone,

It is 233BC and I've gotten to part 3 in the pan_Cacaus reform (outlines in the FAQ). At this point, it says that subjectation resources will aprea in my capital and Mazeka. Does anyone know what type of resources they are, and what is the significance?

    Regards,

Also, you can tell its happened because the fake 'buildings' that say "alliances available" will change to change to 'buildings' that say "subjugation available" or later "homeland region".

It is 206 BC, and I've taken the pre-Caucus reform cities. Now, AS is attcking me with full stacks nearly every turn. They refuse peace. So, the question is, hold the line and build up the cities or raise a roaming army that can go and bring the war to them.

    2 scenarios:

    - Ptolemaio are overrunning AS near antioch and then you must rush Arbela/seleukia to extend your empire
    - AS are dominating on all their fronts and you feel like they are especially focusing on you, then you can restart your campaign because you already lost (you dont have the financial/military infrastructure necessary to hold AND attack the AS, and your retrianing centers are far from your intended front)

I tried alot of Hayasdan campaigns but there is too much waiting/praying/luck involved; Pontus campaign is similar but much easier because you don't have to worry about Sauromatae and governement reforms.

I'm allied with Ptolemie. However, I haven't seen them doing any invasions in my area against AS. Koinen have actually taking control of a few cities in modern souther Turkey. I've had no problems with the Saumarote (sorry for the spelling) yet.

You could try to just pack them up, blow up everything, and move to a different part of the map, you may have to cheat to get out of debt, but eh its better than beating your head into a wall trying to overcome the gray tide. Its really an unfair setup anyway. Maybe retain 2 or 3 places as homeland regions......i don't really know, it sucks playing as them no matter how bad you want to succeed.

Edit: actually, don't do that, the government system means you will never get your historically iconic troops. You could still maybe do it and wait till later in the game to take back your homeland as a reconquista of sorts. But I guess stuff like that is only really feasible in the broke-ass vanilla version. I'll never forget taking the seleucids and setting up in Britain though, for some reason you could recruit elephants out of London.

"I don't understand, how can you shoot women and children?"

"Aw its easy, you just don't lead them as much!"
