I can't stand the Disney Channel, your probably thinking "Don't watch it then" but everytime my Niece and Nephew come around or I go to theres they always have it on. I feel dumber for watching it and can feel bits of my brain exploding lol. I use to watch the Disney Channel when I was younger but I swear it wasn't this retarded back then I use to watch stuff like Recess and Home Improvement. Now it just seems so ridiculouse and all the shows seem to be exact copies of each other, anyone else agree or disagree?

    Thanx

Cartoons/shows from the 90's and early 2000's was what kept Disney popular, now they have shows that would make me cry.

Never liked it. Always been a load of crap IMO. The only good children channel was Cartoon Network, and then they stopped airing any show that could be considered amusing in any sort of way in favour of Chowder and Ben 10. It's a shame really - but then again that's the reason I started watching the History Channel and NGC (which have been turning themselves more and more American-friendly in the last few years too)...

Both male and female walruses have tusks and have been observed using these overgrown teeth to help pull themselves out of the water.

The mustached and long-tusked walrus is most often found near the Arctic Circle, lying on the ice with hundreds of companions. These marine mammals are extremely sociable, prone to loudly bellowing and snorting at one another, but are aggressive during mating season. With wrinkled brown and pink hides, walruses are distinguished by their long white tusks, grizzly whiskers, flat flipper, and bodies full of blubber.
Walruses use their iconic long tusks for a variety of reasons, each of which makes their lives in the Arctic a bit easier. They use them to haul their enormous bodies out of frigid waters, thus their "tooth-walking" label, and to break breathing holes into ice from below. Their tusks, which are found on both males and females, can extend to about three feet (one meter), and are, in fact, large canine teeth, which grow throughout their lives. Male walruses, or bulls, also employ their tusks aggressively to maintain territory and, during mating season, to protect their harems of females, or cows.
The walrus' other characteristic features are equally useful. As their favorite meals, particularly shellfish, are found near the dark ocean floor, walruses use their extremely sensitive whiskers, called mustacial vibrissae, as detection devices. Their blubbery bodies allow them to live comfortably in the Arctic region—walruses are capable of slowing their heartbeats in order to withstand the polar temperatures of the surrounding waters.
The two subspecies of walrus are divided geographically. Atlantic walruses inhabit coastal areas from northeastern Canada to Greenland, while Pacific walruses inhabit the northern seas off Russia and Alaska, migrating seasonally from their southern range in the Bering Sea—where they are found on the pack ice in winter—to the Chukchi Sea. Female Pacific walruses give birth to calves during the spring migration north.
Only Native Americans are currently allowed to hunt walruses, as the species' survival was threatened by past overhunting. Their tusks, oil, skin, and meat were so sought after in the 18th and 19th centuries that the walrus was hunted to extinction in the Gulf of St. Lawrence and around Sable Island, off the coast of Nova Scotia.

I was a WB (Warner Brothers) fan, and a fan of whichever regime followed immediately after it. That and Toonami. Purely for what I didn't realize was anime really.

Back on topic, I completely agree with the OP. Such mindless spamming of laugh-tracks, unbearably bad catch phrases and mindless "humour" have no place on respectable television. And yet my siblings and all other little people seem to accept it with there degrading yet already minuscule brains.

Boomerang is for the most part the only cartoon channel i watch. Cartoon Network for Boondocks on Sundays and a little King of the Hill every once in awhile.

Disney used to be good, but they went overboard on the Suite Life, Wizards of Wav,Zoey something or other, Jonas,Hannah, ect..... shows.

This, but expanded. I still watch Cartoon Network itself. But usually just for Scooby Doo: Mystery Inc and Adventure Time.
Mostly I watch Boomerang and, actually even moreso, Nicktoons; which arguably has all the best stuff: Avatar: TLA, My Life As a Teenage Robot, The Mighty B!, Dragon Ball Z Kai, and Invader Zim.

The only good thing on Disney Channel regularly is Phineas and Ferb and reruns of their 1990's cartoons. Though I have to admit, the days leading up to Halloween on Disney Channel is one of the most awesome and nostalgia-fuelling blocks of programming on TV. Even if you don't like most of it, it's worth it simply to see Hocus Pocus and Halloween Town every year.

So then knock them the out and watch something else. Or introduce them to Boomerang and Nicktoons.

My kids love that Phineas and Ferb ( and if one is honest so do i, very funny, got to love Doofenshmirtz Evil Inc)

And for someone born in the mid 60's, and brought up on 70's British (and reruns of 50's and 60's programmes) kids tv...some of the new stuff is a hell of a lot better (and quite a few brain numbing especially these teen shows)...but then I think of shows from the 80's as new .

    Yeah I hate it too.

I can't tell if they are really that bad at acting or if the director just tells everyone to overact as much as possible.
