Review
The Ghost Writer is a dramatical, political thriller movie, that takes you into the shoes of The Ghost. A calm, curious person who's job is writing memoirs of people who are still alive.
He gets involved when his agent, Rick tells him the news of McAra sudden dead. McAra was writing the memoirs of Adam Lang, retired British prime minister. But he drowned by accident before being able to complete the memoirs of Adam Lang. Who lives now on an island with his wife Ruth, secretary, and bodyguards in a luxurious, isolated premises.
The Ghost goes to meet John Maddox along with a lawyer of Adam lang to apply for becoming the successor of McAra. With convincing John Maddox with a short speech what he is going to do for this project, he gets the job. And seems pleased about that.
When going to his aparentment he gets mugged, and isn't sure this was a good idea to do this job.
But his mananger soon convices him this is a job of a life time for he gets $250 000 for completing the manuscrip - the memoirs of Adam Lang. So without a doubt he flies to America, takes the boot to the Island and so takes part in something that was doomed or not doomed from the start ?
Right before The Ghost gets even close to discussing how he is going to do it or has already done some of the Memoirs for Adam Lang. A old college, and cabinet minister brings out evidence pointing out Adam Lang was involved in a war crime or crime against human rights. And so The Ghost has to endure seeing alot of angry faces looking at him and yelling, while going of and on the island to the house of Adam Lang.
It doesn't take very long for The Ghost to find something of his predeccesor, McAra that sets him on a path to find out what McAra was trying to tell.
Adam Lang, behind him Ruth his wife, and at the end his personal assistant Amelia.
There in some kind of meeting as you can see, Amilia is holding something in here hand that is pointing to a TV.
The Ghost finds someting that he maybe should not have taken his attention to.
A party celebrating a event, The Ghost didn't get a real inventation but still came thanks to someone who was invited. But for that the event is you should check out the The Ghost Writer.
