Got em all but I still love rome

Just want to express that Rome is still great. Love m2tw etw ntw too but Rome still has the earthiness and drama that feeds me good.

Rome (and M2TW for that matter) does have a flavorful appeal that ETW and NTW just don't have for me. Looking forward to S2TW but even if it sucks, I'll still be playing RTW/M2TW.

Hi there.
Well, I do not have all of them, just most. But Rome is the one I keep going back to. Especially because it is steam-free, so I have it on two computers, one with RTR and one using SPQR. One can not play so diversed using Empire. Empire is good, and I play it alot, way more than I play NTW. M2TW is, unfortunately a bit out of favor by now. But I do play it sometimes.

I have RTW on steam and can switch between several Rome mods or even vanilla with ease, including RTRPE (the modswitched version), all on one computer. All it requires for me is changing the Launch Options.

Rome Total War stays really great for me (and it will always be) because i love that time period.
i don't care that Napoleon walked against a door of glass in the supermarket.
i also think that RTW has the best Mods.

Rome Total Realism
Extended Greek Mod
The Greek Wars
Rise of Persia
etc. etc.

also i like the Lord of the Rings mod for M2TW Kingdoms.
so yeah RTW Forever !

Rome is best game of tw series. Next in my eyes is Napoleon and after that Empire. I do not like Medieval tw so much, its seems boring.
Best Modification for Rome total war is SPQR.

SPQR is also a nice one.
but i like the Extended Greek Mod more because i'm more of a fan of Ancient Greece

My fave RTW mod is ExRM, it's an RTR submod based on the Platinum map. I suggest you guys check it out, it really is rather good. There's a link in my siggie.

could you explain to me:
what is so different about it then RTRPE ? (i play the PE Version of RTR)
do i need the PE in order to play ExRM ?
and is it hard to play ?

Rome would be my clear favourite, it just has some sort of apeal that the other Total War games don't have.

Yeah Rome was a great game, but reflecting back on it, it did have some flaws: the lack of family members and the huge squalor. If they were somehow moddable without changing too much to the main game i would probably get right in. But to be honest, i still have a lot of other games to play so it wouldn't happen.

I didn't liked Medievall II that much though: nagging pope, and stupid diplomacy (backstabbing). I still love empire though, with the new features, (sea battles, government types, artillery, no hordes) and i'm buying napoleon somewhere this holiday
