RS Don't launch

Hello, very good work for 1.6, and previews of 2.0 are amazing..

I make a copy of my entire Rome TW folder, and i rename it as Roma Surrectum. I installed RS 1.6 + patch in that folder (to be able to continue to play at BI). Then i when i launch with the BI or regular shortcut, it is "blocked" on the first loading screen and nothing more.. an idea of a mistake i did.?

I am not sure what you mean by blocked, but check the shortcut's pathways under properties.

That is where my problems usually came from.

Try alexander if u got that add on too , all of us use Alexander, sinds its better competible,but also better AI, battles,and gameplay.


do u have the RS shorth cut icon on your desktop? use that 1

shortcuts path seem good , for exemple BI is : "G:\jeux\Total War Eras\Roma Surrectum" , and the target is : "G:\jeux\Total War Eras\Roma Surrectum\RomeTW-BI.exe" -nm -show_err -mod

Don't understand that target, is it good.?

I tried it with alexander, but it was the same problem.

sometimes it is due to a .bat file that must be edited, but here i don't find.

First of all, you will not be able to play BI with RS1.6 installed. It says right in the instructions for downloading and installing RS1.6 that it BREAKS regular BI.

Secondly, if you want to PLAY RS1.6 with BI your shortcut should look like this in the 'target' line:

(your RTW Directory)\RomeTW-BI.exe -nm -show_err -mod:

The -mod: switch is necessary to play an RTW mod in BI.
